Not to mention the shame and guilt you feel when you see them struggle at sports and then having to watch them endure the taunting and jeers of their peers.
These are meant to be the fun times in your child’s life but instead they are agonizing for them and you.
You have a busy lifestyle, your child turns their nose up at healthy food, they only want to eat junk food and you don’t want them to starve.
I am a retired Home Economics teacher living on the Gold Coast, Australia. Having studied in Melbourne, I majored in nutrition, food science and biochemistry.
I have maintained a keen interest in nutritional trends for over 40 years and am constantly on the lookout for healthier food options. This was very important to me when I was raising my five children and dealing with the obstacles we all experience. What I discovered in my research on childhood obesity is so frightening that it prompted me to find a solution which is so incredibly amazing that I want to share it with you.
I have always recommended to my clients that they include in their diet coconut oil and cacao butter. These are always two of the key foods that I suggest, when people are trying to increase their metabolism and burn fat.
Pamela’s claims regarding the health benefits of cacao butter and coconut oil have been well explained and researched. People’s fear of fat in our diets has led to the exclusion of some great foods from our diet. As Pamela discusses it is processed fats that are of significant concern for our health, not the nutritious healthy fats. In fact, the types of fats which are found in coconut oil and cacao butter are essential for our good health and actually burn more calories than they give the body.
Not only does this book provide parents with information regarding keeping their children healthy and advice about managing their weight it also includes many simple and delicious recipes. The importance of introducing these healthy foods into our children’s diet at an early age cannot be under estimated.
I would recommend this book to any parent who is interested in learning the power of nature’s foods in managing their children’s weight and keeping them healthy and vibrant.
Now that I have finished reading this book I am off to buy some raw cacao at the local markets so that I can create some great treats just in time for Easter.
When you think of chocolate what springs to mind is store-bought processed chocolate. Very early on in its production when it was still a bean it was once a powerhouse of nutrition. However during processing it has been heat treated many times then had the indignity of added “bad” fats, sugar and many chemical additives. The end result is an empty, sugar laden, unhealthy food. What a shame when it started out so well!
The good news is that my chocolate is unprocessed. The healthy chocolate bean stays as healthy as when it began its journey to end up in your mouth! It is not heat processed so it is still brimming with enzymes and vitamins. No sugar or bad fats are added and there are no hidden chemicals to wreak havoc in your body.
It’s OK, I understand, it’s not all your fault. Modern advertising is aimed at kids and sometimes it is just easier saying “YES” to stop their “Please Please Mummy Please, Mummy Please”.
At times life is just too hard to fuss with the healthier option, especially if you are a busy mother. Does this sound like you? Somehow your child’s weight just seems to have escalated out of control. You agonize “ When did this happen?”
Did you know that child obesity in America has more than tripled in the past 30 years? The prevalence of obesity among children aged 6 to 11 years increased from 6.5% in 1980 to 19.6% in 2008. Among adolescents (12 to 19 years) it rose from 5.0% to 18.1%. This problem of child obesity is global and is recognised as one of the most serious public health challenges of the 21st century. Today in America 32% of children and adolescents or nearly 1 in 3 is overweight or obese.
This information gives you a step by step guide to getting your child healthy and back on track using tasty, natural chocolate treats. If your child can’t say no to chocolate then they will want to follow the new plan.
Just think by this time in the next 2 weeks your child could have lost inches from their waist, be happy, more confident and well on their way to a lifetime of health and happiness instead of a lifetime of illness and agony.
Replace those fatty, unhealthy foods that are causing weight gain with my highly nutritious, fat burning but still delicious chocolate treats.

What a great way to fill a teenage boy’s hollow legs! They are all healthy and nutritious with no junk food in sight.
Watch out for the neighbours kids – they’ll also be in for one and before you know it the peer pressure to eat junk food is starting to disappear.
I helped my friend Karen’s kids make Choc Coated Banana Bites. You can see by their faces they had a ball. Here are their comments…
